If you were in Indonesia and interested with Doha - Qatar Please visit this website to obtain basic information about Qatar and also the following blogspot : http://tentangqatar.blogspot.com and http://www.indogulf.blogspot.com/
Here is some Activities that you can do in Qatar :
1. Have a walk along the Corniche and enjoy a cool drink
The Corniche is a waterfront walkway that starts from the Sheraton Hotel and stretches for 14 kilometres around to almost the Doha Club. In cooler weather, it’s a popular place to walk, jog, or rollerblade.
You’ll find a number of little coffee/tea huts along the way, for example in Al Bidda Park (”Family Park”). Don’t miss the big statue of “Orry” the Asian Games 2006 mascot. It’s halfway between the Qatar Central Bank building and the Sheraton. Close by is a little “Nescafe” kiosk that does a very nice Lemon-Mint soda and fresh samosas (Indian savoury pastries). Sometimes, there are art exhibitions along this stretch of the Corniche, especially during the cooler winter months.
2. Catch a movie
Weather too hot & humid? Nothing to do on a Friday morning? I suggest you go and watch a movie at one of the many cinemas in Doha. Currently the cinema with the best screens is the Grand Cinecentre at the top floor of the City Centre Mall. Should you want to know what’s playing where, just check the listings in either the Gulf Times or The Peninsula newspapers or look up the numbers for the cinemas in the latest issue of the Marhaba guide and call them.
Cinema tickets (and popcorn!) are very cheap in all theaters in Doha. The best time to go is early in the day or during prayer times (consult the newspapers again ;-)), because then you’ll avoid having big crowds in the cinema. New releases normally come to Doha fairly soon, but you may have to wait for others and yet others never even make it here.
3. Have a yummy Thai meal
The Thai Shack is an excellent Thai restaurant on Mirqab Street, between C-Ring Road and Doha Clinic. In the winter, try and get a table in the garden by the fountain - during the summer a table in the air-conditioned inside area might be more comfortable. Don’t expect fancy service or fancy decorations - this is a down-to-earth, budget, restaurant. Though it doesn’t look like it, there is table-service; however, the waiters speak very little English. Luckily the menu comes with big pictures of every dish and all you need to do when faced with communication difficulties is to point at your choice.
I have not had a bad meal there and especially the Thai fried rice and the Pad Thai are really nice.
When you have finished your meal, your waiter will bring you the bill - don’t try and pay the waiter, instead walk to the cashier’s counter inside the restaurant (next to the wall with the big menu display) and hand over your bill & money (no credit cards accepted).
